Our Mission Field

The heart of the people of Grace United Methodist Church is three-fold in nature:

  • To worship and praise God as we increasingly realize that without Him we are nothing, and with Him all things are possible.
  • Through study, we are ever-learning and growing as disciples of Jesus Christ.
  • Through participation in ministry experiences “by our prayers, our presence, our gifts and our service," we express our love, thanksgiving and devotion to God as we help others.

At Grace, we seek to offer meaningful, relevant worship experiences that meet and inform the minds and hearts of people in their everyday lives, ”where-the-rubber-meets-the-road!"   As people leave our worship service and return to their families, homes, businesses, neighborhoods and schools, we pray that the Holy Spirit has touched their hearts in ways that renew, inspire and energize them so that they might be ready to face another week and grow in their walk with the Lord.  We believe that the better we understand God’s Word and how to apply it to our lives, the more closely we will follow Him – wherever we are, regardless of our circumstances.

We learn the life of discipleship by attending weekly and special worship services and becoming a part of our prayer groups, Bible classes, special retreats, and study groups like our weekly Pastor’s Bible Study.  We seek to better understand the Word of God through in-depth study of our Hebrew Roots that unites both the Old and New Testaments.   We believe that our prayer life is only as strong as our belief in and knowledge of the Word of God and His promises, so we seek to continually learn and intentionally put the Word of God in our hearts.  Being faithful in learning and communing with God in prayer, we seek to prepare ourselves for whatever given situation that might arise in our daily lives.  Our goals are to know His will for our lives and respond accordingly to His leading.
